My bad, that was a hibernation not a hiatus!

So what had happened was...my sweet baby girl (whom, by the way, just turned 5 a few months ago!!!) was starting preschool and I thought I would take just a short little break so I could focus on spending my free time with her. Turns out my definition of "short break" is a few years, eh tomato tomotto.  The good news is, I am back and there is a new little dude to blog about!  Kylie is now the proud big sister of Parker, aka "PJ", aka "PJ Fuzzy", aka "the crazy kid who only sits still when he sleeps", aka "your worst frenemy on a long plane ride" just to name a few of his monnikers.

As you can see, he is also quite the fashionista, or fashionisto as I like to say.  Besides the obvious difference in gender, these two could not be any more opposite. At one point, we were not able to locate this boy's neck due to his multiple chinerosis (not really a medical condition but it sounds better than saying you had a fat baby).  And that Bumbo seat was his worst nightmare because his monstrous thighs would cause him to be stuck in it until we pried him out with Vaseline and the jaws of life.

Meanwhile, his 5 year old beanpole sister is still able to wear the same tutu she wore for her 1st birthday.  It is a size 6-12 months!  PJ eats like the apocalypse is coming tomorrow, while Kylie survives solely on cucumbers, goldfish crackers and Oreo cookies.  One likes to get her beauty sleep while the other wakes up at the first sign of daylight so he can get his grub on (no joke the boy can't speak but he can run like the wind to the fridge and point for me to open it to retrieve his yogurt).

Something these two do have in common, as it pertains to clothing, is the inability to find proper fitting pants. Kylie is so skinny, anything that fits her waist look like culottes on the bottom.  PJ is so robust, that what may fit his waist, will have so much fabric bunched up at the bottom, I could make him a matching tank top with the excess.  First world problems I know, it could be worse, my babies could be wearing hand me downs from 2 seasons ago! (I kid, we are very fortunate to have what we have and participate in clothing swaps all the time).

Before my extended hiatus, I had mentioned that Kylie was beginning to turn into a mini me, and she has certainly fulfilled her destiny.

No doubt about it, this girl is Christina 2.0!  Since she started preschool, I've loosened the reins and encouraged her to pick out her own clothes. For the most part she does pretty well, but there were a few times I wondered if the Ringling Brothers were her new fashion icons.  As Kylie would say, she "adores" dresses, anything in pink and would never leave home without the proper accessories.  I have groomed her into my own little miss fancy pants and I love it!

Well, that's the latest and greatest from my neck of the woods. Hopefully, my next post will come before I bear a 3rd fashionista! (Don't get any ideas, I'm not preggos...yet!)
